Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an Adult Social Worker within the Long-Term Care Team to work full time based in Vale of Glamorgan.
The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £41,496 per annum.
Main duties:
- To undertake assessment of citizens in accordance with statutory duties under relevant legislation.
- To plan and commission services to enable adults with care & support needs and carers with support needs to overcome the barriers to achieving the personal outcomes and monitor and review the care plans through co-production with citizens and carers.
- To work in partnership with citizens with care and support needs, carers with support needs and adults at risk to provide the best opportunities for people to live fulfilled lives in a way that matters to them.
- To undertake case management responsibility for a specific caseload and prioritise workloads demands appropriately.
- To undertake training to support continuing professional development to ensure that the Council I s able retain the provision of its statutory functions, including a willingness for staff to undertake further training to become Approved Mental Health Practitioners, or other more specific senior roles.

- To implement the principles of the Council’s Equal Opportunity Policy whilst carrying out the above duties.
- To report without delay any safeguarding concerns to the appropriate safeguarding officer.
- Such other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade and in accordance with the general character of the job as may reasonably be required by the Chief Officer from time to time.
Requirements of this Social Worker job:
- A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Continual professional development.
- Social Work England registered.
