We have an exciting opportunity for an Imaging Nurse to relocate to Bermuda.

Duties and Responsibilties: 

  • Diagnostic Procedure Assistance: Prepares for and assists during various diagnostic procedures across Radiology, CAT scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, Bone Density, and the Cardiac Diagnostic Unit.
  • Patient Monitoring and Care: Provides comprehensive care and monitoring pre, peri, and post-procedure in the prep/recovery unit, including management of sedated or anesthetized patients post-procedure.
  • Pharmacology Expertise: Understands the pharmacology of medications and contrast media used in Diagnostic Imaging (DI) and Cardiac Diagnostic Unit (CDU), recognizing special considerations during procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Develops and maintains inventory of necessary supplies, including pharmaceuticals and patient care/procedural supplies.
  • Care Planning: Utilizes expertise in Nursing, Diagnostic Imaging, and Cardiac Diagnostic procedures to plan patient care within the department and hospital environment.
  • Health Education and Teaching: Provides relevant health education and procedural teaching to patients, caregivers, and professional colleagues to optimize patient outcomes.

What do you need?

  • Five years as a Registered Nurse.
  • Two years as an Emergency/Critical Care Nurse.
  • Three years in Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
  • Two years of experience in Intravenous (IV) Therapy.
  • Critical Care Certificate.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • IV Therapy Certification.
