Job Title: Work in Bermuda - Registered General Nurse/RGN
Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: Full time. 35 hours per week, including day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekends & public holidays.
Salary: £59,826 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a holistic approach to wound care and hyperbaric treatment for both inpatients and outpatients of all ages, using advanced clinical knowledge and skills in line with established policies and procedures.
  • Offering wound and hyperbaric care on an emergency call basis in accordance with accepted protocols.
  • Documenting wound assessments using photography and the PEARL electronic medical record system, following attending physicians' orders and current best practices.
  • Participating in a multidisciplinary team approach to wound and hyperbaric care.
  • Maintaining administrative records and compiling and submitting statistics as required.
  • Acting as a resource person, coordinating and providing orientation for all new staff to unit policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Liaising with community agencies to provide information, health education, and counselling to individuals, families, and community groups on disease prevention, health promotion, health protection, and health maintenance.

Qualifications & Registration Required:

  • Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing & Midwifery Council.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduate nursing experience, preferably in hyperbaric/wound care.
  • Ability to work in a hyperbaric environment.
  • Current certifications: BLS and ACLS provider.
  • Competency in intravenous access preferred.
