Contract Type: Locum, 3 months (Hybrid)

Join our vibrant Adult Social Care team in Liverpool and make a difference in the lives of adults with care and support needs. We are seeking an enthusiastic Social Worker to manage a varied and complex caseload. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis, allowing flexibility to work both remotely and on-site as needed. As a Band 7 Social Worker, you will be pivotal in safeguarding, support planning, and promoting the wellbeing of adults in Liverpool.

What you will do:

  • Effectively manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision and support.
  • Prepare written reports and statements for Court hearings and engage in applications to the Court of Protection.
  • Make informed, complex decisions using evidence-based tools and critical reflection.
  • Communicate confidently in high-risk or complex situations, and represent the department in multi-disciplinary forums.
  • Work directly with service users, carers, and families to safeguard adults, adhering to interagency policies and procedures.
  • Develop and evaluate individual support plans, ensuring ongoing monitoring and review.
  • Collaborate with other allied health professionals to deliver integrated services, and possibly take part in an out-of-hours rota.
  • Directly Responsible To Team Leader.

Qualification and training:

  •  Dip SW, BA or MA Social Work or equivalent / or due to receive qualification within next 5 months following application.
  •  Social Work England registered or due to receive registration within the next 5 months following application.
