Main duties of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Evaluating the physical, environmental, and psychosocial aspects of manual handling needs for individuals with disabilities or health conditions
  • Evaluating a client’s mobility, strength, and physical limitations to determine their handling needs
  • Assessing the home, workplace, or care setting to identify barriers to safe manual handling

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience
  • Registered with the HCPC
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience 
  • Experienced in undertaking manual handling assessments in people's homes 
  • Car driver preferred
