What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive moving and handling assessments to devise tailored care plans
- Offer education and training to carers on the correct use of moving and handling equipment, such as hoists, slings, and stand aids
- Collaborate closely with an MDT team, including physiotherapists, social workers, and assessment officers, to deliver comprehensive care solutions
- Utilise your knowledge of assistive technology and equipment adaptations to promote client independence
- Complete risk assessments and recommend single-handed care solutions where appropriate
- Travel across the city, visiting clients in their homes and community settings, making a driving license essential
Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong background in moving and handling, you will be an invaluable resource to the team. A degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration are mandatory for this role. If you possess experience with single-handed care, your application would be particularly advantageous.
