What you will do:
- Play a crucial role in the Adult Social Care Duty Service by screening incoming referrals to assess individual needs effectively.
- Conduct remote-based and telephone assessments for urgent needs, ensuring timely and efficient support provision.
- Handle the provision of minor equipment, such as key safes, commodes, and toilet seat raisers, to promote independence for service users.
- Leverage your extensive social care experience to manage and deliver on complex cases, utilizing your problem-solving skills to overcome challenges.
- Be prepared to conduct in-person home visits as necessary to assess and provide support tailored to the individual's environment.
- Spend a minimum of 2 days a week in the office, using this time to collaborate with colleagues and exchange valuable insights.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Hold a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Possess recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist, ideally within the NHS.
- Be registered with the HCPC.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in adult social care, with expertise in assessing for major adaptations, manual handling, and minor equipment.
