Role Overview:
Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for a dynamic and strategic Dependency and Recovery (D&R) Service Manager to join our client's team. This role focuses on supporting adult males in the criminal justice system with substance misuse issues. You will lead and manage a dedicated team to bridge the gap between probation and community-based treatment services through practical assistance and motivational interventions.
Work Environment:
This is an in-person role requiring regular presence in probation delivery units, prisons, community spaces, and other premises. You will spend at least three days a week meeting staff, partners, and attending key meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Management: Oversee the delivery of D&R services across designated London boroughs, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and performance targets.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop Team Leaders and support staff to maintain high standards and positive outcomes.
- Partnership Development: Establish and maintain strategic and operational relationships with key partners, including Probation Delivery Units, Senior Probation Officers, and community-based services.
- Service Delivery: Ensure services are delivered in person, providing interventions within both prison and community settings.
- Performance Management: Set objectives for Team Leaders, monitor performance, and ensure targets are met. Address underperformance and promote a positive team dynamic.
- Strategic Contributions: Work with senior management on service improvements, performance reports, and strategic planning.
- Quality and Safety: Ensure services are audit compliant, manage risks effectively, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in substance misuse services, criminal justice settings, and managing people and performance.
- Skills: Strong leadership, organisational, and time management skills. Excellent communication and partnership-building abilities.
- Knowledge: Understanding of psychosocial interventions, community provision, and relevant legislation and best practice standards.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database monitoring systems.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in business, leadership, or management (or working towards).
