Job Vacancy: Lead Nurse - Substance Misuse Service

Sanctuary Personnel is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Lead Nurse specialised to join our client’s swiftly expanding Substance Misuse Service based in Camberwell.
The lead nurse will form part of the senior leadership team within the service, working closely with the service manager and lead doctor to provide and develop high quality clinical service provision, with specific responsibility for nursing services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Be professionally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work and that of the team you are working with including the management of people in your care.
- Assure that integrated pathways are in place for individuals who require treatment for their health needs related to their addiction.
- Ensure that the services clinical model is functioning, effective, efficient and in line with CGL policy and national guidance.
- Implement/maintain an immunisation and vaccination scheme to help combat blood borne viruses (BBV) and other infectious diseases and provide advice and information to other professionals on BBVs and the care of individuals with drug and alcohol issues.
- Ensure all programmes, e.g., immunisation programmes, are adequately staffed so that contractual requirements are met.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of clinical governance and be active in applying to your work situation, including maintaining own continuous professional development by keeping up to date with clinical practice, national guidelines, and developments, and incorporate them as necessary into your work. - Actively participate in recording and investigating incidents/complaints as directed by the service manager.
- Ensure adherence by all staff to change grow live’s infection control procedures through a clear understanding of requirements associated with a clinical setting.

Essential Requirements:
- A Qualified Pharmacist with current GPhC registration and two years' post-qualification experience OR a first-level registered nurse with a current PIN AND three years post-qualification experience.
- A qualified Non-Medical Prescriber.
- Someone with at least one year's relevant and recent experience in substance misuse treatment.
- Sound and demonstrable knowledge of clinical prescribing issues.
