What you will do:
- Offer advice, information, advocacy, and support to individuals seeking assistance with substance misuse. Provide a diverse range of interventions based on the unique needs of the service and the people who seek its help.
- Case manage identified service users with substance misuse challenges, keeping them well-informed about the variety of services and support options available to them. Help them make informed choices about their recovery journeys.
- Work collaboratively with service users to develop realistic and achievable recovery plans, ensuring that they have access to psychosocial interventions and both internal and external support mechanisms.
Requirements of a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker:
- Recent experience in areas such as Substance Misuse, Substance Abuse, Addiction, Drug and Alcohol Recovery, Needle Exchange, or other related specialties.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications are necessary to support your expertise and enhance your effectiveness in the role. Confidence in your skills and knowledge is essential.
