Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse experienced in caring for complex medical patients to join our team. The role involves collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

The ward comprises 16 beds with an additional 12 expansion beds currently operational, totaling a 28-bed unit. Specialising in acute medical care with a focus on Neurology and Stroke, our current nurse-to-patient ratio stands at 1:6. Job Purpose:

Operating across various clinical areas within acute and community services, the Registered Nurse will plan and deliver effective patient care, maintaining awareness of patient needs and driving standards of care. Collaborating with colleagues from other departments, the role involves acting as a role model for colleagues, patients, and relatives, supervising Healthcare Assistants, and providing guidance and training as required.

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • 1st Level Registered Nurse with NMC Registration.
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in general nursing.
  • Thorough knowledge of NMC Code (2015).
  • Ability to manage risks and complaints.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic keyboard skills.

Desirable:

  • Commitment to work towards a Level 2 vocational award in health and social care.
  • Teaching and mentorship qualification.
