Position Title: Registered Midwife - Lenah Valley Hospital Tasmania - Calvary Health Care
Reports To: Nurse Unit Manager

What you will do:
- Provide comprehensive care to a dedicated group of patients, ensuring high-quality midwifery services.
- Offer support and mentorship to less experienced colleagues, including enrolled and student nurses.
- Continuously develop your clinical skills in alignment with your career aspirations and industry standards.
- Participate actively in performance management and ongoing professional training.
- Engage in discharge planning and coordinate primary case management.
- Conduct patient assessments with a focus on continuity of care.
- Uphold infection control standards and participate actively in emergency procedure training.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation, ensuring seamless care transitions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver patient-centered care.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, promoting a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in quality improvement projects, audits, and support organisational innovations.
Selection Criteria:
- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA)
- Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery Degree, Postgraduate certificate in Midwifery or equivalent
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated competence as a midwifery clinician
- Expertise and/or qualifications in specific speciality as required
- Post graduate qualification or working toward the same.
