Overview
Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a dedicated Paediatric Site Practitioner (PSP) to join our client, a prestigious private hospital dedicated to the healthcare needs of women and children, currently rated “Good” by the CQC.
Shift Pattern:
- Full time, 37.5 hours per week
- Evenings, nights, two weekends per month 9% shift enhancement
Role and Responsibilities
As a Paediatric Site Practitioner, you will:
- Provide a visible clinical presence around the hospital, acting as a role model and expert practitioner.
- Use advanced nursing skills to coordinate resources and work closely with on-site Duty Managers.
- Participate in the PICU step-down process and support bed allocation as a key member of the Clinical Emergency Team.
- Out of hours, join the Paediatric Hospital at Night Team to ensure timely and appropriate responses to patients’ needs.
- This varied role offers opportunities for ongoing development, including a structured, competency-based development programme supported by the Lead Paediatric Site Practitioner and Head of Clinical Operations.
What You’ll Bring
- NMC RN Child qualification
- Experience in HDU/Critical Care
- Paediatric Physical Assessment Skills
- Current APLS/EPALS provider certification
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), such as a Professional Portfolio
