What you will do:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team within the Emergency Department to provide high-quality patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans.
- Utilise your acute medical experience to assess patients' needs and devise personalised therapy programs.
- Engage in fast-paced decision-making and critical thinking to address the immediate rehabilitation needs of patients.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records to ensure ongoing patient care and legal compliance.
- Provide support and education to patients and their families about treatment options and progress, enhancing their understanding and involvement in the recovery process.
To fit this role, you should be a Band 6 Occupational Therapist with at least 1.5 years of post-registration acute medical experience and/or experience within the Emergency Department. You must be HCPC registered and have at least two years of experience. A preference for a car driver is noted, adding flexibility and convenience to your mobility on the job, although it is not essential.
