- Manage and prioritise a complex caseload of People We Support with varying mental and physical health needs, under the guidance of a senior OT.
- Complete the OT process using evidence-based and service user-centred principles, including assessment, formulation of treatment plans, implementation, and evaluation of interventions.
- Address occupational performance and skill deficits to enable service users to improve in areas such as self-maintenance, productivity, education, and leisure.
- Develop and deliver tailored programmes of care, ensuring comprehensive handovers to rehabilitation support workers or therapy assistants, and monitor progress through data collection.

- Utilise interpersonal skills and empathy to engage with service users and families, especially those resistant to rehabilitation or experiencing distress.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated, and communicate findings effectively with the team.
Leadership
- Manage your designated workload with supervision from a senior OT, identifying priorities and managing time and resources effectively.
- Recognise, report, and improve performance and practice, both personally and within the team.
- Support and challenge colleagues to maintain health, safety, and security at work, reporting actual or potential issues and proposing solutions.
- Stay informed about the political and economic climate impacting service delivery at local, national, and international levels.
- Promote the profession and the organisation, fostering partnerships across organisational and agency boundaries.
- Contribute to the clinical governance arrangements and quality agenda within occupational therapy and the clinical specialty, including attending Brainkind-wide OT meetings and implementing agreed outcome measures.
