Main Duties:
- Assessing new clients presenting to Occupational Health, whether in person or by written referramanagement of case
- Assessing clients' fitness to work for the appropriate job role in line with HP policies and guidelinappropriate fitness certificates.
- Supporting, advising, monitoring and assessing the clinical practice of the OH team.
- Responding to client/manager’s requests for support/information on the working environment.
- Maintaining appropriate records in line with departmental protocols on record keeping.
- Maintaining valid and up to date registration with the NMC and comply with NMC guidelines in reissues and clinical supervision.
- Promoting equality of opportunity and provide an environment in which the dignity of individuals from workplace harassment and bullying.
- Developing good working relationships and maintain effective communications with client’s manprofessionals and external contracts
- Responsible for equipment and its maintenance, resources and staff cover, clinical and administwith the Construction Head of Nursing
- Providing Occupational Health employees with appropriate regular appraisals, ensuring training needs are identified and met
Requirements of the Occupational Health Advisor:
- Registered Nurse (NMC Part 1)
- Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health (Degree or Diploma)
- Current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration
- Strong written skills with excellent attention to detail
- Effective communicator, capable of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- Clear understanding of personal competence and the ability to escalate or seek support when needed to ensure safe practice
- Proficient in IT and digital systems
- In-depth knowledge of data protection and confidentiality principles within occupational health practice
