Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a dedicated Highways Supervisor to join a skilled team in Exeter. This role pays between £32-£37K and involves a balanced mix of office-based planning and on-site supervision, ensuring the successful delivery of multiple projects within the highways maintenance sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage multiple highways projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and project delivery.
- Oversee a team of supervisors and operatives, providing leadership and support.
- Perform a 50/50 split between office-based planning and on-site supervision.
- Manage scheduling, project planning, and compliance with industry standards.
- Respond to business needs, including day and night shifts (currently alternating 2 weeks of days and 2 weeks of nights).
- Participate in on-call duties as required (minimum of 10 per year).
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Experience in highways maintenance and project planning.
- Versatility, with management experience (flexible depending on planning expertise).
- IT literacy and familiarity with industry-standard systems.
- Knowledge of SMSDS and Streetworks (desirable but not essential).
- SMSTS or SSSTS accreditation (desirable but not essential).
- HGV Class 2 licence (desirable but not essential).
What We Offer
