Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Tree Inspector to join the forestry and arboriculture team in Leicestershire. This role offers an hourly rate of £17.76 and is ideal for professionals experienced in tree inspection, forestry, or arboriculture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tree Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of trees adjacent to highways and on other key sites to identify any defects or hazards, documenting locations on site plans.
- Reporting and Follow-Up: Prepare reports on defective trees, issue notices for remedial work, and follow up to confirm completion.
- Ash Dieback Monitoring: Carry out specific site inspections to monitor Ash Dieback progression, and make recommendations for management.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain and update records and inventories of tree inspections using computer databases.
- Contractor Supervision: Issue work instructions to contractors and inspect work upon completion.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Arboriculture/Forestry Experience: Background in tree inspection or related fields.
- Tree Health Knowledge: Familiar with tree species, health issues, and disease management.
- Attention to Detail: Strong observational and documentation skills.
- Basic Computer Skills: Competent in using databases to manage inspection records.
