Pay Rate: £29.19 - £37.82 pr hour (assignment rate)
Contract: Locum 3 month contract
Hours: 12 - 20 hours per week which includes working some Saturdays, weekdays and evening classes.
Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learner Support:
- Conduct initial assessments of learners, identify individual learning needs, and refer to learning support as appropriate.
- Provide learner induction and tutorials.

Planning and Preparation:
- Prepare course outlines, schemes of work, and lesson plans.
- Ensure course files are complete and up-to-date.
- Identify and procure necessary materials and equipment to support teaching and learning.
- Develop appropriate flexible learning materials.
- Undertake course reviews.

Class Management:
- Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date class registers.
- Manage the withdrawal and transfer of learners in liaison with the curriculum team leader/manager.
- Maintain high levels of learner retention and achievement.
- Monitor learner attendance and punctuality, taking appropriate actions as needed.

Learner Progress and Achievement:
- Recognise and record learner progress and achievements, including marking work and maintaining individual learning plans.
- Provide retention and achievement information to the curriculum team leader/manager.

Assessment and Accreditation:
- Collaborate with the curriculum team leader/manager and other staff for course accreditation and the organization of exams and assessments.
- Assess and record learner outcomes, including completing exam entry forms.

Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to safeguarding requirements, including Health and Safety and GDPR regulations.
- Be familiar with procedures for fire and risk assessment in the learning environment.
Applicant Requirements:
- ESOL tutor qualification (CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or a teaching qualification with an ESOL specialism).c
- At least 1 year of post-graduate experience as a Teacher in the UK.
- Proof of ability to work and reside in the UK.
- Current DBS check and two references.
