Embark on your next adventure as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist specialising in Mental Health with the Older Adult Rapid Intervention Team in Lancaster, UK. This key position is based at DeVitre House on Ashton Road, where you will be working Monday to Sunday from 9am to 5pm, with the potential of transitioning to an 8am to 8pm service in April. What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk evaluations, within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team.
- Collaborate closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist to ensure an effective team approach to patient care.
- Provide a fast and responsive assessment service to facilitate access to mental health services.
- Make informed referrals to other clinicians within the service or to external services/agencies as needed.
- Act as a communication hub between GPs, NHS talking therapies, and other services to uphold high standards of patient care.
- Offer mentoring and clinical supervision to staff and trainees in placements, fostering a learning-oriented environment.
