Sanctuary Personnel is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join an esteemed Advanced Practice Team based in London.
The successful candidate will collaborate with consultants and the multidisciplinary team to deliver direct patient care within a specialist surgical hospital setting. Responsibilities include providing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions across various surgical specialisms, including Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Neurologic, Spinal, Gastrointestinal, and Orthopaedics surgery.
This role primarily entails Monday to Friday shifts with occasional weekend and potential night-based shifts as the service evolves. Candidates will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care aligned with the organisation's mission and values.

Duties:
- Conducts thorough medical histories, performs complete physical examinations, initiates appropriate lab, imaging tests or other special tests required for evaluation of illness, and scrutinises lab data on new and former clinic patients and hospital admissions to establish a record of the patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Initiates and interprets, at least to the point of recognising deviations from normal, common laboratory, imaging, and other routine diagnostic procedures used to identify pathophysiologic processes.
- Performs routine procedures such as injections, immunisations, suturing and wound care, blood draws, designated IV starts, managing simple conditions produced by infection or trauma, assisting in the management of more complex illness and injury which may include assisting surgeons in conducting operations and taking initiative in performing evaluation and therapeutic procedures in response to life-threatening situations, as privileged by CCL Credentialing Committee.
- Performs medication reconciliation and prescribes medication according to policy, and within the independent prescribers scope of practice
- Performs specialised procedures following approval, such as biopsies, spinal taps, thoracentesis, paracentesis or other specific procedures
Key Requirements:
- Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council, with no restrictions to practice
- Independent Prescriber qualification, including V300 course
- IRMER certification
- Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification
- Evidence of implementing quality systems and improving patient outcomes
