Job Title: Work in Bermuda - Registered Nurse - ACW Operating Room (Acute) 
Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: 35 hours per week, including weekends and public holidays
Salary: £75,000 per annum

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking qualified, highly motivated, and experienced professionals to join a supportive but demanding healthcare environment. This role is ideal for individuals dedicated to excellence in service, education, and leadership in the field of healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a scrub nurse or circulating nurse during a variety of operative procedures, including Laparoscopy, Endoscopy, Trauma emergencies, Orthopedic, Pediatric, ENT, Maternity, Gynecological, Ophthalmology, Urology, Vascular, and Plastics.
  • Act as an Anaesthetic Nurse by assisting the anaesthetist during induction and throughout the anaesthetic period.
  • Monitor and assess patients' clinical condition, taking appropriate action to ensure the safety of surgical patients.
  • Function as a Charge Nurse and team leader when required, utilising clinical, hospital, and community resources.
  • Participate in unit Quality Improvement activities and, when required, approved research projects.
  • Serve as a preceptor/mentor and role model for new junior staff, as well as peers.
  • Take active responsibility for professional development by participating in continuing education programmes and staying current with professional literature.

Qualifications & Registration Required:

  • Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration as required by the Bermuda Nursing Council (BNC).
  • Minimum of two years of continuous employment/experience in a current Operating Room setting.
  • Current certifications in CPR and IV; ACLS preferred.
  • Essential experience in physical assessment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and clinical competencies.
