Sanctuary Personnel are looking for a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order Technician (TTRO) to work on an interim basis with Bristol City Council for an initial period of 7 months.

37 Hours Per Week

Up to £15.43 Per Hour (PAYE) or £19.04 Per Hour (Umbrella)

The Job-

To work at entry level technical/professional officer level in the allocated Transport Team. To undertake tasks using appropriate techniques to ensure that agreed actions and service delivery targets are met. Assist with the delivery of Bristol’s Streetworks Permit Scheme as required by the team manager. The post-holder may occasionally be required to work outside standard working hours.

  • Draft Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders and Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices in line with the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992. 
  • Producing both managerial and technical data information (e.g. internet searches, collation of statistics and reports, manipulation of spreadsheets and databases) and prepare more specialist technical drafts for approval.
  • Operate a PC to assist in the production of maps, models, graphics, drawings, and diagrams to ensure that projects are fully supported and that the Transport Service communication needs are accurately met.

Applicant Requirements-

  • Relevant qualifications at National Qualifications Framework / Qualifications and Credit Framework Level 3, or NQF/QCF Level 2 plus relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Full current driving licence.
  • An awareness of the services delivered by the Traffic & Highway Maintenance team and the wider transport responsibilities of Bristol City Council.
