Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Team Manager within the Fostering Team to work Full Time based in Herefordshire.
The salary for this Team Manager job is up to £64,180 per annum.
Main duties:
- The Team Manager is to lead a team of Social Workers and Senior Practitioners in the delivery of a high-quality service to achieve improved outcomes for children and young people by ensuring assessments, annual reviews, planning and provision of services are delivered based on professional, evidence-based knowledge.
- To ensure that carers protect children and young people who are in need of protection from abuse, neglect, exploitation and/or significant harm and they are kept safe.
- To ensure that Foster Carers, supported lodgings providers and planning for permanence in alternative arrangements are suitable to improve outcomes for the children and young people.
- To ensure that National Minimum Standards are exceeded in relation to meeting the needs of children in placement.
- To be proficient and abide by the Safeguarding policy and practice of the organisation, attend strategy meetings and undertake complaints and allegation investigations.
- To support consultation processes with Foster Carers and children placed in foster care and other alternative care arrangements.
- To effectively assess, identify and manage risk and ensure that safer care plans, risk assessments and timely interventions for children and young people are in place to stabilise the fostering arrangement.
- To prepare and present written and verbal reports on children and foster carers where appropriate.
- To promote a culture of professional curiosity embracing research within your area of responsibility, encouraging the exploration of different cultures, concepts and ideas.
- To be responsible for caseload management within the team, ensuring that staff salaries and expenses remain within budget.
Requirements of this Team Manager job:
- A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Registered or eligible for registration.
