This role requires office presence for 2 days a week.

Duties:

 

  • Oversee the provision of support services for fostering assessments, ensuring that children and young people in these arrangements receive high quality support.
  • Managing service delivery, implementing development of the team, and ensuring statutory duties are undertaken.
  • Lead and manage the Fostering team, overseeing day to day support and assessments.
  • Ensure the provision of high-quality support services for carers, families, and private fostering arrangements.
  • Manage a team of social workers and family practitioners.
  • Work closely with the social work teams, families, carers, and multi-agency partners to ensure children's needs are met and that support services are accessible.
  • Oversee assessments of needs and support plans for carers and families. - Manage resources and budgets effectively.

 

Requirements of the Team Manager:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Recent managerial experience, working as a TM, DTM or ATM etc.
  • Significant frontline experience in Adults/Children’s Services working as a Team Manager
  • Knowledge of Eclipse computer system is an advantage
  • Strong IT skills a must.
  • Full-clean license and access to a car – ability to travel as required.
