What you will do:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and treatments for individuals living with dementia, utilising your specialist knowledge and training.
  • Develop and implement tailored therapy plans that cater to the unique needs of your clients, using advanced clinical training.
  • Collaborate effectively with other agencies, including both statutory and voluntary organisations, to deliver cohesive care.
  • Deliver training programmes to educate and support other professionals in understanding the complexities of Speech and Language Therapy for dementia.
  • Employ Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) systems skillfully for improved client outcomes.
  • Produce detailed and accurate reports and maintain meticulous records.
  • Drive to appointments and locations within Craigavon and surrounding areas, ensuring access to necessary services.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification recognised by RCSLT.
  • 4+ years post-graduate experience, including 2 years as a Band 6 Clinical Specialist in dementia care.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and RCSLT.
  • Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
