We are seeking a skilled Social Care Occupational Therapist specialising in paediatrics to join our enthusiastic team within the London Borough of Redbridge. What you will do:
- Provide effective and efficient Occupational Therapy services to children in various settings, mainly within children's homes.
- Manage a diverse caseload, utilising evidence-based clinical reasoning.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic interventions, primarily conducted in family homes.
- Be an active member of the interdisciplinary team, contributing to service development, supervision, and continuing professional development.
- Delegate tasks to support staff and participate in supervising practice placements for OT students.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues, adapting your style to suit different audiences.
Essentials & Desirable:
- Completion of RCOT accredited BSc; MSc or PGDip
- Member of Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Membership of Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT)
- Member of RCOT SS: Children, Young People and Families
- Sensory Integration qualification
- Previous experience working in Children and Young Adult’s Occupational Therapy Services
- Knowledge of standardised tests used with children/ young adults
- Knowledge and experience of a range of treatment techniques and approaches in paediatrics
