What you will do:
- Deliver exceptional patient care in a 12-bedded multi-specialty surgical unit, offering support, leadership, and expertise.
- Oversee a 6-bedded Enhanced Care Unit with in-room cardiac monitoring and a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit.
- Provide clinical leadership, support junior colleagues, and serve as a role model within the team.
- Manage patients across various specialties, including GI, Gynae, Orthopaedics, Breast, Spinal, and Liver surgery.
- Develop and maintain a high level of care in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and maintain effective communication.
Who we are looking for:
- Extensive experience in a surgical inpatient setting, particularly with cardiac and thoracic surgery.
- Current nursing registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development through relevant post-registration courses.
- Experience mentoring or precepting junior colleagues, fostering professional growth.
- Competency in Basic Life Support.
