What you will do:
- Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care programs for patients within a community setting.
- Provide leadership and act as an advisor and role model to junior nurses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
- Participate in and implement quality assurance initiatives, including creating action plans and measuring outcomes.
- Develop and facilitate teaching programs for both qualified and unqualified staff and students, supporting their learning and development.
- Act as an assessor to students, mentor new nurses, and provide clinical supervision.
- Lead the twilight/night service, acting as the deputy to the senior accountability person.
- Cover twilight and night duties as the duty nurse for adult community services.
- Collaborate with the team leader to undertake performance reviews for nursing staff.
- Engage in the recruitment and selection of new staff and assist with departmental induction.
