Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Senior Residential Childcare Worker to work full-time based in a Children’s home in Leeds.

The salary for this permanent Senior Residential Childcare Worker job is up to £30,777.

Main Duties:

  • The senior role is to support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in providing the best quality childcare in a safe and trauma-informed care-focused environment for young people
  • When on shift, you will have initial responsibilities for monitoring and supervising staff and taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and guidance of colleagues while ensuring the welfare and care of the young people
  • Senior residential childcare workers encourage each young person to be involved in all aspects of their care. This will involve skill development, problem-solving and assessment of risk while being mindful of their individual capabilities
  • A senior residential childcare worker advocates pro-actively for each young person’s needs, rights and views and ensures that these are met
