Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Practice Development and Quality Coordinator to work full time based in Guernsey.
The salary for this permanent Practice Development and Quality Coordinator job is up to £63,481 per annum.
Main duties:
- Develop and participate in the delivery of an in- service training and development program within Children and Family Community Services (C&FCS), to include support for adult safeguarding social workers within Adult Community Services as may be directed by the Service Manager for Safeguarding & Quality Assurance
- Participate in the learning and improvement cycle within Children and Family Community services as a member of specific C&FCS Governance forums reporting to the Service Manager for Safeguarding & Quality Assurance and deputising for the Service Manager as chairperson should the need arise
- Take on the role of lead coordinator for delivering a variety of Quality Assurance (QA) activities, including a monthly collaborative audit and moderation programme, deep dive and thematic audits
- Advise and support colleagues at all levels on how to undertake audits and other QA activities to a high standard and on a regular basis
- Support the Service Manager for Safeguarding & QA in ensuring learning from audit and QA activities are used to inform development and changes in policy and procedures
- Participate in the overall development of operational staff within Children and Family Community Services as directed by the Service Manager, Safeguarding and Quality Assurance and other members of the Senior Leadership team
- In conjunction with service needs, identify, develop and facilitate skills training programs for all staff within Children and Family Community Services
- Provide guidance and oversight to the Information Officers within the Quality Assurance Unit with regard to Subject Access Requests (SARS) by giving professional advice and quality assuring files prepared for release under the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law 2017
- Lead, develop and facilitate a program of training for all grades of health and social care staff working within Children and Family Community Services. This should include the provision of regular training workshops, and reflective supervision sessions for health and social care staff, ensuring the workforce is kept up to date with evidence-based practice and learning
- Take personal responsibility for ensuring sufficient professional development needs are identified and raised with the Service Manager for Safeguarding & QA in order to support one’s own learning (in accordance with the continual professional development requirements to maintain registration with Social Work England)
- Other activities commensurate with this Job Description may from time to time be undertaken by the post holder
Requirements of this Practice Development and Quality Coordinator job:
- A Social Work Qualification or equivalent
- Understanding of relevant legislation
- Continual professional development
- Social Work England registered
- Experience within Adult Social Work
