The salary for this permanent Physical Health Nurse job is £41,000 per annum.

Duties:
- Oversee the physical health of all of our patients across the hospital
- Liaising with the ward nursing staff to ensure patients are having their daily physical healthchecks completed, and also ensuring the ward staff and patients are aware of any outpatient appointments
- Be responsible for overseeing blood testing as required, linking in with our local GP surgery and hospital services to ensure referrals are made for our patients as and when required
- Liaising and arranging on site visits with our external healthcare professionals such as dentists, opticians and chiropodists
- Be responsible for keeping up to date, which will be recording when health checks and screenings were last done and when they are due again
- Deliver educational sessions to our patients on the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle and training and developing our current workforce in the latest techniques and NICE approved guidelines for physical health
Requirements of the Physical Health Nurse:
- A qualified RMN or RGN
- Have a passion for physical health and have a proactive approach to encouraging our patients to maintain healthy lifestyles
- Relevant registration
- Recent UK nursing experience
