As a Community Prisons Occupational Therapist, you will work full-time in an ongoing contract, earning up to £32 hourly. This role involves assessing and supporting adults across seven prisons, contributing to an environment where care and rehabilitation are key.

What you will do:
- Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments and identify appropriate equipment aligned with Strength Based practice across seven prisons.
- Under the Team Leader's guidance, provide Occupational Therapy to adults with care needs in both prisons and approved premises settings.
- Maintain an active caseload, undertake assessments for adults and older people with less complex needs, and contribute to the creation and implementation of care plans.
- Evaluate and address risks associated with Moving and Handling to enhance safety.
- Deliver interventions including recommendations for adaptations and equipment, rehabilitation programmes, and advice.
- Offer initial Occupational Therapy advice to support the first contact service.
- Foster connections with other agencies and Local Authority departments to enhance service delivery.
- Regularly review services provided and uphold Departmental Procedures.
- Participate in quality standards implementation and strive for service cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation, preparing reports as needed.
- Engage in training and development to stay informed and expand skills.
Requirement:
As a key requirement, you must be HCPC registered and a car driver, taking on this transformative role with confidence and capability.
