Job Title: Occupational Health Technician
Location: Plymouth
Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, within the hours of 07:45 am - 16:30 pm, Monday - Thursday, and 07:45 am - 12:15 pm on Fridays
Salary: Up to £24,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Role Overview

We're offering a fantastic opportunity for a confident individual to join our multidisciplinary occupational health team. As a self-motivated professional, you'll take a proactive approach to managing your workload while collaborating effectively within our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting health screening procedures according to company protocols, encompassing baseline measurements like height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis.
  • Performing audiometry and lung function testing.
  • Engaging in health promotion activities.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation of medical information and maintaining serviceable, clean, and functional equipment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in occupational health is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in IT.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proactive and self-motivated work ethic.
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality.
  • Solid educational background, including proficiency in numeracy and written English.
  • Ability to work under supervision and recognise professional limitations.
