What you will do:
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and conduct SPECT, PET, and PET-CT imaging to produce diagnostic data.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient care.
- Maintain and operate specialized nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and regulations to protect patients and staff.
- Provide detailed explanations to patients about procedures, addressing any concerns they may have.

Requirements of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist:

- BSc in Clinical Technology with specialisation in Nuclear Medicine during the degree or BSc in Radiography, which takes three years, and then specialise in Nuclear Medicine, after first qualifying as a Radiographer.
- Minimum 2 years Nuclear Medicine experience (Practical experience can be obtained by working in a Nuclear Medicine department)
- NHS experience
