Sanctuary Personnel is offering an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our client's dedicated team at a specialist neurological centre in Ipswich. In this role, you will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services, assessing, implementing, and evaluating person-centred care programmes as part of a multidisciplinary team.

About the Role:

  • Conduct assessments of service users' needs and develop tailored treatment programmes to meet individual requirements.
  • Promote choice in clinical practice, encouraging feedback to enhance the service user experience.
  • Collaborate with other health and social care professionals, as well as volunteers, in planning and delivering occupational therapy.
  • Ensure the appropriate provision and maintenance of equipment within available resources.
  • Maintain up-to-date written and electronic records in accordance with professional standards, ensuring sensitive information is securely handled.
  • Share your knowledge and expertise with other staff through both formal and informal teaching.
  • Contribute to the smooth and safe running of the service by maintaining a secure working environment and upholding service user confidentiality. Occasionally, you may be asked to take on additional reasonable tasks.

About You:

  • Diploma / BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current and valid registration with the Health & Care Professions Council.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
  • Proficiency in OT assessments and interventions with strong clinical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritising your workload while supporting others.
  • Confidence in assessing and managing risk related to occupational performance.
  • Organisational skills to manage and respond to complex information effectively.
  • Competent IT skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on current practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Experience in a relevant setting, including practice placements, is desirable.
