Job Title: Neurological Occupational Therapist

Salary: £35,507 - £40,019 per annum
Sanctuary Personnel is offering an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our client's dedicated team at a specialist neurological centre in Ipswich. In this role, you will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services, assessing, implementing, and evaluating person-centred care programmes as part of a multidisciplinary team.
About the Role:
- Conduct assessments of service users' needs and develop tailored treatment programmes to meet individual requirements.
- Promote choice in clinical practice, encouraging feedback to enhance the service user experience.
- Collaborate with other health and social care professionals, as well as volunteers, in planning and delivering occupational therapy.
- Ensure the appropriate provision and maintenance of equipment within available resources.
- Maintain up-to-date written and electronic records in accordance with professional standards, ensuring sensitive information is securely handled.
- Share your knowledge and expertise with other staff through both formal and informal teaching.
- Contribute to the smooth and safe running of the service by maintaining a secure working environment and upholding service user confidentiality. Occasionally, you may be asked to take on additional reasonable tasks.
About You:
- Diploma / BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy.
- Current and valid registration with the Health & Care Professions Council.
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
- Proficiency in OT assessments and interventions with strong clinical reasoning skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritising your workload while supporting others.
- Confidence in assessing and managing risk related to occupational performance.
- Organisational skills to manage and respond to complex information effectively.
- Competent IT skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on current practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships.
- Experience in a relevant setting, including practice placements, is desirable.
