The salary for this permanent Lead Therapist  job is £25,000 - £27,000 per annum.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Client Assessments: Conduct assessments within agreed timescales, ensuring each client gets the tailored care they need.
  • Therapeutic Support: Provide individual counselling and facilitate group therapy sessions to help clients address substance misuse and related behaviours.
  • Collaborate with Partners: Work closely with probation services, health professionals, and other agencies to review and support each client’s progress.
  • Empower Clients: Guide individuals through their detox and stabilisation process using a variety of therapeutic approaches designed to support their recovery.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure all client participation, progress, and administration are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Innovate & Lead: Explore new therapeutic methods and help develop the treatment programme to meet client needs, ensuring the highest standards of care.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Substance Misuse Experience: At least 2 years of experience working directly with substance-using clients, with 1 year in a therapeutic setting.
  • Qualified Counsellor: A Level 4 (or higher) qualification in Counselling (or equivalent).
  • Programme Development: Experience in designing and delivering therapeutic support programmes, with proven skills in group-work and assessment.
  • Flexible & Open-Minded: An adaptable approach, with strong communication and leadership skills when managing sessional staff, volunteers, and clients.
  • Partnership Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory agencies, always aiming to improve client outcomes.
  • Admin & Planning Skills: Excellent organisation and administration abilities, with a commitment to upholding quality standards and gathering accurate data.
  • Safety First: A strong understanding of health and safety, including risk assessments for high-risk clients.
