Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an Adult Social Worker Band 6 within the Family Support Team to work Full Time based in Berkhamsted, for The Hospice of St Francis.
The salary for this permanent Adult Social Worker job is up to £38,643 per annum.
Main duties:
- To provide leadership and advocacy for social work theory, perspectives in practice as a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and wider stake holders in particular advocating, modelling and enabling people to realise the skills they have acquire new skills and knowledge in order to return to and/or empowered to live life on their own terms.
- To be a safeguarding lead across the activities of the Hospice and support the Director of Governance and Family Support to assure full compliance within the organisation is maintained in regard to safeguarding & mental capacity process.
- To support the Director Governance & Family Services ensuring that the Hospice of St Francis retains up to date and appropriate social care policies, monitoring, evaluation and assessment systems.
- To provide psychosocial and practical advice/input to the wellbeing and self-management groups.
- Support the department and charity strategy, and identify opportunities and challenges for service development. Including advising the wider organisation on policy development in the area of social care, safeguarding & mental capacity.
- To develop, implement and analyse service evaluations, audit programmes and outcome measures. Using outcomes to recommend service improvements.
- To work with the Service Director in advising, developing and delivering agreed strategic objectives.
- Work with the wider multi-disciplinary team in the development of new services.
- Prepare accurate records in line with the Data Protection Act and Hospice policies.
- Support the Director of Governance and Family Support in recruitment and induction of new employees as required.
- When handling personally identifiable and sensitive information ensure your conduct is consistent with the requirements of the legislative, and regulatory frameworks for information and information governance, whether that be in hard or soft copy or digital formats.
- Act as a role model promoting the values of the Charity in accordance with the post holders professional Code of Pracitce.
Requirements of this Social Worker role:
- A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Relevant Social Work experience.
