Sanctuary Personnel are looking for an Energy Projects & Programmes Officer to work with Islington council. This is a full-time position, and we are paying £23.48 Paye and £30.75 Umbrella per hour for this role.

The role:

The Energy Projects & Programmes Officer post supports the work of the Energy Services Team by delivering energy, carbon-saving projects, and supporting the delivery of the team’s wider work, which may include assessing energy statements of planning applications, providing energy-related advice to other council departments, as well as any other tasks that supports the delivery of the team’s objectives.

Responsibilities:

Project development – building up the project, including working with relevant stakeholders, calculating cost estimates, carrying out a cost-benefit analysis, developing the project documentation and seeking formal approval for the project.

Securing funding, which may involve writing external funding bids o Drawing up tender documents and procuring contractors to deliver the project o Management of contractors during the project delivery and ensuring stakeholders are involved throughout.

 Dealing with any issues that arise during delivery, negotiating solutions and using appropriate change controls if required.

Managing the project budget effectively to deliver value for money.

Completing the project, ensuring the objectives are met and handing over to operations.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths.
    Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 36 hours p/w.
