The salary for this permanent Speech and Language Therapist job is £35,392 - £42,618 per annum.

Main Duties:

 

  • Speech and Language Therapy Service: Provide speech and language therapy services to adults with acquired communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing problems.
  • Neurorehabilitation: Offer neurorehabilitation in a residential setting to adult clients, providing interventions on an individual or group basis as required.
  • Specialist Assessments: Conduct specialist speech, language, and swallowing assessments and neurorehabilitation for clients on the stroke pathway, adhering to local and governmental policies.
  • Out-Patient Services: Provide specialist speech, language, and swallowing assessments and neurorehabilitation to out-patients as needed.
  • Programme Development: Develop SLT programmes and services for clients within NRS, under the guidance of Senior Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Dysphagia Management: Provide advice to clients, their families, and relevant staff on the management of dysphagia.
  • Standards Monitoring: Contribute to the monitoring and achievement of relevant standards.

 

Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Degree or diploma in Speech and Language Therapy and maintain up-to-date HCPC registration.
  • A member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and work within the scope of your professional guidelines.
