What you will do:

  • Provide specialised nutritional care and advice to inpatients within the oncology department.
  • Assess and develop tailored nutrition plans for patients, ensuring optimal health and recovery.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to provide insights and collaborate on patient care.
  • Manage enteral feeding processes, including the use of feeding tubes and training other staff members.
  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of parenteral nutrition plans.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Dietetics and HCPC registration.
  • Proven experience in clinical dietetics, particularly in an inpatient setting.
  • Knowledge of managing acute and chronic conditions, such as malnutrition, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, and enteral feeding.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
  • A proactive approach to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice.
