Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides specialist clinical pharmacist support to the Medical Directorate and provides support to other wards and departments as appropriate, as per objectives set between the Chief Pharmacist, Associate Chief Pharmacists and the Site Lead, in accordance with Pharmacy, Trust, and Directorate objectives
  • Provides specialist clinical pharmacist support to RDFC and provides support to GP Practices as appropriate, as per objectives set between the PCN Manager and Practice Manager
  • Exercises professional supervision over dispensing activities for inpatients and outpatients at Pilgrim Hospital Boston as required
  • Support a team of clinicians within GP Practice, taking responsibility for areas of chronic disease management
  • Improve value and outcomes from medicines across both primary and secondary care sectors, consulting with and treating patients directly

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, with GPhC registration. Completion of pre-registration training and membership with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience is desirable.
  • Experience: Previous experience in clinical pharmacy services within a hospital setting. Familiarity with medicines management standards and policies. Medicines information experience is advantageous.
  • Skills and Aptitudes: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in pharmacy computer systems and software. Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and provide accurate advice. Dispensing and checking skills are essential.
  • Specific Requirements: Willingness to travel between hospital sites and participate in on-call duties. Adaptability to changing circumstances and situations.
