Sanctuary Personnel, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency with a TrustPilot score of 4.9/5 and over 400+ reviews is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to work in Cranbrook on a full-time basis.
The salary for this permanent Clinical Pharmacist job is £45,882 - £48,693 per annum.
Duties:
- Actively support the Pharmacy Manager in delivering a safe, effective and quality Pharmacy service, whilst demonstrating clinical leadership within the team
- Take active steps to ensure an excellent level of pharmaceutical care is provided to all patients being treated
- Assume role of Responsible Pharmacist and deputise for the Pharmacy Manager when required
- Lead on antimicrobial stewardship for the Pharmacy team, providing representation on the Infection Control Committee
- Lead and develop the clinical pharmacy service provision to a surgical inpatient population, ensuring high-quality medicines management practices are embedded within the provision of safe patient care
- Development and update of key Pharmacy policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures
- Lead on audit programmes, data collection and associated presentations, as appropriate, as part of the continual quality improvement agenda of the Pharmacy department
- Supervise the clinical workload of the junior pharmacist and pharmacy technicians
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager with elements of line managerial support to the junior pharmacist
Requirements of the Clinical Pharmacist:
- Degree in Pharmacy
- Registration with GPhC as a Pharmacist
- Post-registration experience
- Evidence of CPD
- Experience of working within a healthcare team
- Previous experience of working in a busy dispensary environment
- Previous hospital experience is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience of supervising and training other staff is essential
- Experience and skills in using computer programs and harnessing technology to enhance the Pharmacy service
- Previous experience of developing and undertaking audits, audit report writing and presentation of results
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues
- Evidence of good customer service skills and awareness
