Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a full-time Childrens Residential Care Worker based in a Residential home in Moulton.

The salary for this permanent Children's Residential Care Worker role is £27,702 - £29,591.

Main Duties:

  • You will work a mixture of early and late shifts and alternative weekends with enhancements paid on top of the basic hourly rate for unsocial hours, Sunday/ Bank Holiday working and standby shifts.  7:00 – 2:30pm early shift, 2:00pm-9:30pm late shift,  9:15pm – 7:15am Night shift. There is also an opportunity for overtime. The basic salary is £23,802 and based on an average working pattern with enhancements you could expect to earn £27,702
  • The role includes supporting with personal care, day-to-day life, helping our young people develop life skills, accompanying them to health, education and other appointments
  • There are also days out trampolining, bowling, swimming, shopping or even short breaks as we try and create positive experiences for our young people. You will also support them to spend quality time with their families
  • You will be their voice, their advocate, their champion as our young people are nonverbal so you will support them using communication aids
  • We are a small child centric home so we encourage a “family feel” where possible, this involves eating our meals together, creating positive relationships and supporting our residents through key work

Key Responsibilities:

  • You need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, patient and flexible amongst other things. You will find it easy to establish and build positive relationships with Young People
  • You will have a nurturing nature with a child centric approach to the support you give whether that be personal care or creating tailored experiences for our children
  • Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence, as you will be driving our Young People to appointments or activities
  • Experience of working with young people with Autism in either a professional or voluntary capacity is desirable, as is evidence of an ongoing interest and commitment to young people
  • The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS clearance
