Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a full-time Assistant Service Manager based in an adult’s Residential home in West Malling.

The salary for this permanent Assistant Service Manager job is up to £27,154.

Main Duties:

  • Work closely with the Service Manager to inspire and motivate the team to provide a high-quality service as well as assist in implementing current legislation and CQC requirements
  • Maintain a practical knowledge of policies and procedures and ensure appropriate usage
  • Effectively recruit, develop and manage employees in a fair and consistent manner
  • Work with your Service Manager to reinforce a culture of continuous improvement
  • You will motivate and inspire your team to provide outstanding support through effective training, coaching and leadership by example
  • Be expected to attend appointments with the people we support, attend care reviews, review and update care plans and risk assessments, record and monitor daily logs, lead shifts, and administer medication
  • Day-to-day support for the people we are supporting
  • Managing the service and the team within and meeting KPIs

Requirements of this job:

  • Have a genuine desire to help, develop and maintain high-quality service provision for the people we support in this service appropriate to their assessed needs
  • Has the skills and commitment to coaching and developing a team, with an emphasis on Practice Leadership to develop and align practice
  • Understand the balance between keeping the person safe and positive risk-taking.
  • Has knowledge of the legal framework that applies in this service (e.g. DoLS, capacity and best interest requirements)
  • Level 5 diploma or equivalent experience
  • Qualification in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) level 3 or BILD course desirable, or must be willing to complete a diploma within 18 months of employment
