Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Team Manager within the Assessment Team to work Full Time based in Herefordshire.
The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is up to £52,859 per annum.
Main duties:
- To have team manager responsibility for the safe operation of the team.
- To provide professional supervision in line with the directorate supervision policy to staff, within the team.
- Ensure that competent professional judgements are made based on sound assessment, planning and provision for the needs of child and young people.
- Support the service manager in audit and quality assurance.
- To understand and implement relevant legislation and guidance, in accordance with the policies and procedures of the directorate.
- To support the service manager in ensuring local systems, skills and processes are in place and applied consistently to secure high-quality information, data, analysis and reports.
- To motivate and assist in the professional development of practitioners within the team.
- To maintain safe working practices for self and others and be compliant with the Council’s health and safety policy and procedures.
- To contribute to staff training programmes and service developments across the Directorate.
- To acquire and develop specialist knowledge as required by the team and the Directorate.
- To support the service manager to identify trends and developments in professional work, highlighting the implications for the Directorate, and contribute to the development of policy and promotion of good practice standards in Herefordshire.
- Be very aware of the impact of the service provided and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide and ensure consistency high quality risk management and decision making in identifying the most appropriate plans and interventions for children and young people.
- Ensure effective outcomes for children and young people are achieved.
- Manage the team establishment and the recruitment and support of team members.
Requirements of this Team Manager role:
- A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Past experience in a management role.
- Extensive Experience Working in a Statutory Social Care Setting with Adults.
