Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Team Manager within the Assessment Team to work full time based in Bedford.
The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is up to £59,543 per annum.
Main duties:
- To be responsible for the management of the identified social work service and, where appropriate, other related services in a given geographical area of specialism.
- To manage, monitor and ensure the effective delivery of the service to the highest professional standard.
- To be a member of the local management team and provide support to the Head o Service and to participate as a representative of the Council, as required, in other structures established for multi-agency working.
- To ensure the effective allocation of work within the team, ensuring that stated protocols for responding and processing enquiries is adhered to, within the guidelines of Working Together.
- To support all members of the team by ensuring that regular supervision and communication takes place on an individual and team basis.
- To contribute to the development and dissemination of operational instructions and provide practice guidelines and research to ensure that the highest standards of practice are achieved and maintained.
- To be responsible for the delegated budget in line with Council procedures and regulations or any agreed pooled budget arrangements to ensure effective use of financial resources.
- To contribute to the timely analysis of management information to inform and improve service delivery.
- To monitor, evaluate and review performance targets, identify deficiencies and take remedial action where necessary.
- To ensure the requirements of the Complaints Procedure are compiled with and, if required respond to complaints.
- To ensure that all work is delivered to children, young people and their families/carers and to communities, in a manner that complies with equality principles. And to ensure that services are available and accessible.
- To undertake any other duties or tasks commensurate to the post as may be required by Senior Managers.
Requirements of this Team Manager job:
- A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Continual professional development.
- Social Work England registered.
