Job Purpose:
As a Social Worker, you will undertake statutory duties, focusing on assessing, supporting, and safeguarding vulnerable individuals. You will work within legal frameworks and policies to assess, commission, and review support services, collaborating with colleagues across sectors to empower service users while ensuring their safety.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operational Delivery:
- Assist individuals and families in resolving daily difficulties.
- Conduct investigations and interventions to protect vulnerable individuals.
- Ensure safety through legal processes, providing court statements and reports.
- Collaborate with individuals, professionals, and agencies using the Signs of Safety model.
- Provide information, advice, and advocacy to service users and carers.
- Develop and review care plans within legal frameworks.
- Maintain knowledge of regulations and practice.
- Foster close working relationships with agencies and contribute to training.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure support meets assessed needs.
- Evaluate service user satisfaction.
- Develop risk management and safeguarding plans.
- Maintain accurate records.
General Responsibilities:
- Develop skills and meet standards under guidance.
- Promote Welsh language and service user preferences.

Person Specification:
Essential:
- Degree in social work or equivalent.
- Welsh and English language skills.
- Registration with Social Care Wales.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Understanding of relevant legislation and procedures.
- Experience in multi-agency working.
Desirable:
- Ability to work in a team.
- Effective remote working skills.
