What you will do:
- Manage a diverse Children & Families caseload, conducting assessments, planning, and implementing actions to safeguard the welfare of children.
- Collaborate with agencies such as health, education, and the police to coordinate appropriate services based on assessed needs.
- Use evidence-based social work methods to help service users and support team objectives.
- Conduct direct work with children and families, considering their wishes and shaping services accordingly.
- Prepare and submit statements for Family Court, representing the Council’s interests during proceedings.
- Maintain accurate records and manage case closings efficiently.
- Build strong relationships with various departments including Education, Housing, Health, and local schools.
This role is perfect for newly qualified social workers embarking on their Assessed and Supported Year of Employment, as well as seasoned professionals progressing to higher levels.
Required current valid UK driving licence and use of a car insured for work purposes.
