What you will do:
- Implement positive changes in complex cases affecting children, families, and carers by using systemic social work methods, models, and tools. Assist them in gaining independence while managing and minimizing risks of abuse and neglect.
- Lead and oversee professional judgements in accordance with relevant legal and policy frameworks.
- Undertake and provide expert advice on comprehensive assessments of children using the assessment framework, support the execution of plans, and review and reassess needs.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with partner agencies to ensure effective inter-agency practices are in place to protect children from significant harm and meet their care needs.
- Conduct safeguarding enquiries, support colleagues in these enquiries, and aid children, families, and carers in developing actionable plans that align with their circumstances.
- Serve as the lead professional in complex, statutory cases such as child protection, care proceedings, and looked after children cases that require a qualified children’s social worker.

Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant frontline experience working within UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker
